Rainy morning
music in my ears
mystic thinkers in my thoughts

Red and yellow flickers
in the lilac
flowers long gone
feeding on the seeds

Old man down the street
moving to the rhythm of his hands
taking in the energy of the air
clinging to the movement of her hair

Rumi and Sophia dancing
in and out of his reverie
filled with passing mornings
of falling away leaves
looking for the gatherers along the way
